The McCain Brothers were born in Muleshoe, Texas and raised on a farm near Bovina, Texas. Both are graduates of Bovina High School, South Plains College and West Texas State University in Canyon. Ben got his first radio job while in school at KZOL in Farwell, Butch at KTLV in Levelland. Both worked their way through college with radio jobs and then got into television in Amarillo. Ben was the early morning news anchor at KVII-TV in Amarillo and Butch was the weatherman at KFDA-TV and DJ at KGNC in Amarillo. Ben worked in the Beaumont/Port Arthur market, Butch in Tyler. The McCains teamed up to start a morning show in Oklahoma City. After having a successful morning show on the NBC and ABC affiliates in Oklahoma City for 12 years, the Brothers now live in the Los Angeles area and work as full time actors.
